Sarah Blomfield makes bespoke hand-painted card lampshades from her studio in Oxfordshire. Decorative and joyful motifs are hand-painted onto cream card shades which are made by hand in the UK. The idea began after a commission to paint a lampshade for the Guy Goodfellow London showroom a few years ago, and orders grew from there.

"Sarah will paint a unique design to complement a fabric or wallpaper, or a particular paint colour – anything is possible! A recent commission was for a 20 shade chandelier hanging from a historic painted ceiling. Sarah painted a floral design based on the ceiling motifs. Shade sizes usually range from 5” base clip shades up to 20” shades."
