"The stucco-fronted property in a pretty street in Chelsea was acquired by an international client to use as a pied-a-terre when travelling and working in London, and although expertly fitted out and tastefully finished by the developer, the property was a blank canvas lacking any real personality. Henry Prideaux Interior Design was brought in to create a fresh and exciting interior in the style of ‘an English country house with a twist’, featuring a variety of furniture and finishes within a scheme that combined a richness of texture and pattern. The client was a huge fan of colour and wanted to integrate plenty of vibrancy into the house whilst reflecting his laidback lifestyle. Henry was able to achieve this by incorporating a range creative design ideas and inventive techniques, and within its new guise, the property featured several beautifully designed spaces including a cosy snug seating area complete with a custom-fitted upholstered L-shape sofa, sumptuous soft furnishings, and bold striped walls, a vividly decorated dual-aspect living room and study designed using an eye-catching combination of tactile fabrics and trims, and a wonderfully tailored master bedroom in a calming colour palette of blues blended with white and grey tones. To add a final flourish, a collection of artworks was selected to enhance each space, creating lots of captivating vignettes to make the house feel complete and a little more ‘lived-in’."
