"A residential interior design project by JoJo Macnamara was fully integrated into the complete refurbishment of a traditional manor house in the heart of the New Forest in Hampshire.

The project encompassed a variety of spaces, including the kitchen, utility room, dining room, drawing room, grand hallway, seven bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a dressing room, a gym, a cinema room, a pool house, an office, an over-garage annexe with an open plan studio, and an extensive external patio area.

From concept to completion, Studio Macnamara worked closely with Luxury Property Projects on this major modernisation project. The scope of the work included full rewiring and replumbing, audiovisual planning and execution, comprehensive lighting design, spatial planning with furniture layouts, a decorative schedule, and management of suppliers and specialist contractors. The project included complete interior design including kitchen and bathroom design, as well as soft furnishings.

Emphasising the natural surroundings of the manor within the New Forest National Park and close to the Solent coastline, JoJo combined contemporary interior design with traditional craftsmanship. Elegant lighting and unique furnishings were used to blend opulence with meticulous tailoring.

Bespoke joinery and fireplaces were commissioned for a number of the rooms to optimise the use of space for everyday living whilst enhancing the property’s historical style. Tailormade furniture was designed for the cinema room, along with bespoke headboards and valences for the bedrooms.

New limestone flooring from Artisans of Devises. The paint selection came from the Farrow & Ball and Little Greene collections, chosen to enhance the beauty of wall coverings and finishes by Thibaut, Phillip Jeffries and Elitis. Fabric suppliers included GP&J Baker, Colefax and Fowler, Thibaut and Christopher Farr. The tiles were supplied by Bert & May and Fired Earth, while the lighting was by Phos, Vaughan, Porta Romana, Collingwood and The Soho Lighting Company. The new kitchen and utility room were supplied by Raynsford, Hampshire."
