About Us

Studio Anton is a Cambridge-based interior design studio specialising in residential and boutique commercial spaces. Striking an artful balance between traditional and modern, Studio Anton’s work is defined by its deft fusion of sophistication and comfort – using natural, honest materials to create a true sense of home. Studio Anton’s projects combine the contemporary with the antique, including delicate renovations of Victorian townhouses and concepts that lend character and warmth to new-build developments. Our work has taken us to London, Glasgow, Dublin and slightly sunnier European climates, bringing our unique blend of relaxed elegance to everything we do. Whatever the brief, the needs and visions of our clients remain at the heart of our work, designing spaces that make sense for the people who live in them. Effortless. Understated. Beautiful.

How would you describe your style?

"With an affinity for natural and honest materials such as wood, marble, stone, wool, velvet and linen, we purposefully use a broad range of materials and textures to provide an elegant yet relaxed and rooted sense of home. Steering away from trends, Studio Anton's projects strike a harmonious balance between traditional and modern, timeless and elegant. We believe that design should appear effortless, natural and be supremely comfortable."

"The brief for this project was to inject a sense of sophisticated fun into a rather dull and grey Victorian townhouse. Classical, timeless pieces are balanced against rich muted colours, luxurious velvet textures and complementary pattern play. In the living room, a cosy and rich atmosphere is created with the use of airforce blue from Little and Green. Set against vintage brass stillovo chandeliers, a burnt orange mohair sofa and hand-painted Japanese screens adding a sumptuous layer to the design of this room. The overall effect is a living room come speakeasy, a quirky yet relaxing place to retreat to,

In the kitchen come dining room, a wall-to-wall bespoke seating banquette was built in to facilitate great family gatherings whilst providing ample amounts of hidden storage. Taken out in a butter soft Altfield velvet black and wipeable forest green leather on the base, the banquette is both indulgent yet practical at the same time. A prerequisite for this busy family. The forest green banquette is balanced against muted rose walls with enormous warmth. The perfect calming and muted backdrop for the overhanging Daniel Ablitt painting taking centre stage of the dining area. With entertaining at the centre of this brief, the outcome is a characterful yet homely environment for the young family."
