About Us

Marvic Textiles Ltd was founded in 1938 and is one of the few remaining privately owned fabric businesses in the UK. It has become a brand leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of exquisite furnishing fabrics and wall coverings with a strong global presence at the top end of the textiles market. Today it is run by Peter Afia, son of the founder, Victor Afia alongside his dedicated team of professionals.

From large hospitality groups through to modern design houses and high-profile individual interior designers Marvic’s client base is sophisticated, high end and discerning. With a very strong presence in both the UK and the US,  Marvic’s global reach also includes Europe, the Middle East and Australia. The Marvic showroom can be found in London’s prestigious Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour.

Marvic is best known for superlative quality and choice, with classical favourites such as Toiles, Crewels and Moires being key to their repertoire. These are juxtaposed with textured contemporary neutral and patterned weaves. Marvic has also become a go-to destination for textured upholstery plains, velvets and chenilles. In recent years Marvic has launched the new STUDIO by Marvic collections which project a contemporary aesthetic at a more affordable price point.

How would you describe your style?

"Marvic fabrics range from the classical to the contemporary and are known for distinctive design with a bold and varied colour palette. In recent years Marvic has introduced more contemporary neutrals and textured plains which contrast with the vibrant classical weaves. The thread common throughout is the superlative quality and attention to detail which characterises each product category."
