About Us

Promemoria has ancient roots, an adventure that began in the 19th century in a small village on Lake Como, where the Sozzi family ran a workshop for the restoration of the carriages of the local aristocracy.

After four generations, Romeo Sozzi made his debut in interior decoration in 1988, and chose for his business a name that is a declaration of love for the ability to preserve: the handmade, the extraordinary, the exceptional. Remembering the past to improve the future: this is the company's mission. Deeply linked to the Lake Como, Promemoria pieces of furniture are beautiful objects to look at but also to touch, smell and even listen to, while they resonate in their symphony of woods, glasses and processed metals. Each piece is made by hand, often made to measure and limited edition. And always with a strict control that certifies the level of excellence.

Promemoria's philosophy embraces interior design and made-to-measure projects. Fine materials, refined fabrics and craftsmanship savoir-faire: all the beauty that has always characterised Promemoria's imagery is available to architects, designers and planners.

"According to Promemoria, a home should embody all the qualities of conviviality: it should be warm, inviting, with unexpected touches and in constant dialogue with its surroundings. Alongside collections, collaborations and artistic reinterpretations of its products, Promemoria develops custom-made luxury furniture.

Each creation is born from the customer's dreams and needs: listening to his story, the creative team captures the essence and studies the perfect realisation, enriching it with the company's long experience. For several years, Promemoria has worked with architects and designers to create customised projects for private homes, yachts and luxury hotels."
