Lualdi is a historic Italian design company specialising in interior doors, bespoke furniture, and contract projects. Founded in 1859 as an artisan joinery, it is now managed by the fourth generation of the founding family. The transition to industrial production began in the 1960s, thanks to a close collaboration with architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni. Today, the company partners with some of the world’s most renowned architects and maintains showrooms in Milan, London, Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, with its leadership recognised globally.
The quality of Lualdi's products and production processes are longstanding values of the company. Their manufacturing operations demand specialised expertise, blending the excellence of traditional craftsmanship with the most advanced industrial production methods. Corporate social responsibility is a cornerstone of Lualdi's philosophy, reflected in their daily commitment to environmental protection. The socially and ecologically sustainable use of materials and resources has enabled the company to achieve FSC® certification.
How would you describe your style?
"The LCD62 swing door, designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Lualdi in the latter half of the 20th century, represents the first example of industrial design applied to doors. Today, as then, the Lualdi product is the perfect synthesis of form and function, combining technological innovation with product design. The purity of shapes and the linearity of geometries characterise the entire production of the brand, supported by constant research into materials and their potential. It is a subtle design that integrates naturally into the most diverse interior projects while maintaining strong recognisability."
