Founded in 2009, Lehlo Interiors emerged from a childhood dream of its founder, Cleme de Grivel.
Born in Paris to Spanish and Mauritian parents, Cleme was immersed in a rich blend of cultures that inspires her vibrant, eclectic approach to design. Her passion for textiles, textures and patterns drives the creation of warm, elegant, and harmonious spaces tailored to each client’s vision.
The name Lehlo—derived from "Lay Low"— reflects the studio's approach to crafting calm, contemporary interiors that feel inviting, distinctive and full of character.

"One of our latest projects completed in March 2023 was for Cleme and her family. Having lived in the house for two years prior to starting the renovations, Cleme had a clear understanding of the disposition and functionality the house needed for it to work well for the growing family.
Being a Victorian townhouse in London with small rooms, low ceiling, many stairs and minimal windows it can feel dark and uninviting. For Cleme whom loves to host, it was a critical to create spacious living areas with a natural flow of light. The whole house was stripped down to the brickwork, and the rear of the house rebuilt to attain more natural light to the ground floor. Thanks to removing the split levels and with creating a basement we were able to gain ceiling height on the lower ground floor. A standout feature is the curved bronze rear extension, which adds uniqueness to the conventional front façade of the house.
Colour and light have a great impact on the family’s wellbeing therefore we wanted to create a home where every room had one colour that stood out and would make you feel a certain way. The living room features a green mohair sofa. The TV Room; red tones with kilim flat weave. The Office, purple tones with natural straw wallpaper. Within those spaces all the joinery was thoroughly thought out to be timeless, functional with a playful design aesthetic.
Cleme and the team believe this house mirrors Cleme’s feelings and emotions in life. It’s bold but with the combination of natural light and bright colours it is what this house deserves."
