About Us

Brandon Schubert Ltd is an interior design studio based in London. The studio focuses on residential interiors and has worked on numerous listed buildings, both large and small, around the UK and abroad.

Brandon’s work has been featured in House & Garden magazine, Homes & Gardens and in The English Home. He was awarded the Rising Star award in November 2021 by House & Garden and named to their Top 100 Interior Designers and Architects list the same year.

Brandon founded his design studio in 2019, after several years working at Ben Pentreath Ltd. Before that, Brandon had a career as a corporate lawyer at Davis Polk, an American law firm, in London. Originally, Brandon is from Dallas, Texas.

The studio approaches interior design with a respect for architectural history and detailing, and always with a focus on the volume and function of a room. Brandon loves to create interiors that feel natural in their setting and that draw on different time periods, colours and textures to create energy and balance with a sense of permanence.

How would you describe your style?

"Colourful, functional and considered, with respect for the building’s architecture, and a sense of connection to history."

"We focus on residential interior design and tend to follow a fairly similar process from project to project (though every client and every project are different!). We typically start with an introductory conversation about your project, timetable, expectations, ideal outcome and, of course, budget.

Once we are aligned on our goals and how long we have to achieve them, we’ll start the design work. It’s fantastic when clients come into a project with some ideas of their own, whether that is in the form of Pinterest boards or magazine cuttings, or just words that describe what they want. We are happy to use those as a starting point for developing ideas for the house.

We usually begin designing with furniture plans, focusing first on how you want the space to function. Once the furniture layouts are more or less finalised, we develop decorative schemes for each room, including fabric, wall coverings, flooring, and furniture and lighting suggestions. We present those suggestions to you in a series of design meetings. Following your feedback from those meetings, we will refine the schemes and get them into a mostly final state. Then it’s time to start putting together costs for your approval, ordering everything and working towards the installation date.

We are not architects, but we are comfortable overseeing many kinds of building works, as long as they are within our competence. We also design and commission joinery elements, kitchens, bathroom fittings and the like.

The process can take anywhere from several months to a few years. The necessary timetable really does depend on the scope of the project and what we are trying to achieve.

We have worked all around the UK, and on projects abroad, and we’re happy to consider taking on a project just about anywhere.

Hiring an interior designer is such an important decision, and not one that is easy to make. It is so important that you choose the right person for your project. If you would like to learn more about what it’s like to work with us or discuss a specific project, please send an email to enquiries@brandonschubert.com."
