How would you describe your style?

"Modern country house. I like to introduce pops of colour, pattern and lots of texture to my interiors whilst mixing antiques with timeless new pieces, creating spaces that are comfortable, functional and above all welcoming."

"I recently worked on a delightful listed 16th Century farmhouse in rural Essex that required much vision to bring it up to modern-day standards, whilst being mindful of its heritage and period features.  My task was to make this a home that worked for every member of the family, including the cat!

On the ground floor, both reception rooms have been painted in soft, neutral shades accentuated by a mix of sumptuous textiles, artwork and antique furniture.  In the evening, when the hand-embroidered crewel curtains are drawn and the fires are lit, these rooms slowly transition into warm and cosy spaces for reading or entertaining.

A pretty yet practical utility room was created in a dark awkward corner of the kitchen.  Bespoke joinery painted in soft sunny ochre, an antique stone sink and cottage-style fabrics complete the look. A sweet cloakroom was added using tongue and groove panelling and whimsical wallpaper.

Upstairs, the vaulted library cum snug has been designed to make the best use of the space allowing for a bespoke bookcase and a window seat.  The master bedroom and ensuite are now calm, functional spaces to relax in and unwind, whilst the children’s rooms have been thoughtfully decorated using timeless textiles and furnished using a combination of contemporary and antique furniture."
