Cherie Lee Interiors is an established Interior Design studio based in Hertfordshire. The studio specialises in renovating and enhancing period and listed country homes in the home counties and beyond, as well as townhouses in London.
Cherie and her team are creators of laid-back luxury. They embrace the challenge of developing new ideas for every client and project, whilst retaining a subtle thread of natural materials, texture and understated refinement. Their guiding principle is to create liveable designs that are stylish and comfortable in equal measure.
A unique advantage is the Grade II listed barn that the team renovated and houses their studio. The barn is designed to represent an open-plan apartment where clients can experience the craftsmanship, material combinations and overall feel of a fully styled CLI property.

The property forms one third of a former Georgian mansion. Prior to the renovation, the property had been vacant for over three years and was in a state of disrepair. Whilst room proportions at the property were fantastic, areas of the house were dark, lacked natural daylight and the space had not been well utilised. The hallway in particular required reconfiguring and we used large, crittall glazed partitions between rooms to allow light to travel throughout the ground floor. We used a reclaimed, antique oak floor to keep a sense of the properties age and restored plasterwork cornices. We styled the home with contemporary fixtures and furnishings to create a balance between the old and new, making it perfect for a modern couple and family.
