In 2004 directors Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon established PINCH with the aim to create furniture and lighting that they would want to live with. They set their sights on what they would want to surround themselves with, indulged in the detail and didn’t compromise on materials. Products are characterised by a quiet and elegant aesthetic, the result of tireless refinement and an intense dedication to craft and process.
The manner in which the pieces are produced is as important as the designs themselves and they manufacture with a serious commitment to quality and a honed attention to detail and finish. The pair work with an evolving stable of skilled craftsmen and women in the UK and Europe to produce their designs. They hold stock of large and small pieces, offering the opportunity to finish many of them in bespoke colours, as well as the flexibility for clients to order custom versions and bespoke commissions that have the same fervour for perfection. The furniture and lighting works in both domestic spaces and contract environments and, while they have a very personal vision of how the pieces might live, the duo delights in the fact that their clients engage with them individually in very personal and particular spaces, all united by creative visions that put quality and artistry first.
Products are sold directly from the PINCH Ebury Street and Bourne Street shops in London’s Pimlico Road district, and can be shipped worldwide. Russell and Oona are proud to have been nominated for, and to have won many design awards over the years, and are continually delighted to have their work recognised by the international design press who cite them as a leading studio that represents British design talent, one which advocates manufacture that is set to last both stylistically and in terms of its construction. Put simply they are furniture lovers who love to make well.

How would you describe your style?
"We believe in poetic design and making beautiful things; pieces that endure, inspire and aspire to be inherited. We refine our designs until we feel we have arrived at our idea of perfection, but we seek to leave them with a lightness of touch, which allows our collection to lend itself to both country and concrete environments. Our design process is all about beauty found in simplicity and the indulgence of well-crafted detail that feels exquisite to the touch."

"Whilst we hold a lot of stock for immediate dispatch, a large proportion of our work is in creating custom versions of our portfolio designs, or designing entirely bespoke pieces for very particular spaces. We can vary the overall dimensions, finishes, colours and configurations of many of our lines to suit our client's needs, whilst always ensuring the core of the design is respected. We also partner with many of our loyal customers to design cabinetry for whole houses, from fully bespoke kitchens to walk-in wardrobes."
