About Us

Orbel Ursula Interiors is a Battersea-based interior design practice working with clients on their London and country homes.

Having specialised in architectural history at university, where the founders met, the company's lead designer Amy Chance, brings a wealth of skills from her previous career as a successful property lawyer dealing with high-end central London and UK residential properties and estates.

The team collaborates closely with their clients to help them visualise and streamline their ideas and then together they create an elegant, luxurious and practical home which will bring out the best of a building’s architectural features.

Orbel Ursula Interiors wants the design process to be an enjoyable experience for their clients whilst we focus on translating their vision for their home into reality. Quality of workmanship is imperative and their black book of craftspeople and suppliers is reflective of this. The team works closely with architects, builders, curtain makers, upholsterers, joiners, furniture makers and other industry specialists to provide a customised service for their clients, enabling them to source the best and most unique materials and furnishings at competitive prices.

Attention to detail, efficiency and exemplary business acumen, combined with strong negotiation skills are attributes their clients choose Orbel Ursula Interiors for and regularly compliment them on.

How would you describe your style?

"We create elegant, classical spaces which, with a touch of modernity and through use of accents of pattern and colour, are uplifting and happy places to spend time in."

"We offer a full range of interior design services from a whole house renovation to a single room refresh or even commission of an item of furniture, lampshade or cushions in a client’s favourite fabric. As a small studio we can be flexible in our design packages to suit different budgets and needs.

We are currently helping a client with the complete modernisation of her family’s farm, which has incredible unspoilt views over the Surrey hills, to suit the next generation and modern day living of a young family. Our client had stunning ideas at the outset but with three young children, a large build and a busy job was feeling overwhelmed with the possibilities. We were able to help efficiently navigate the huge choice on the market. Often we find our role is to give our clients confidence in making bolder decisions or perhaps to suggest bespoke pieces or more reasonable or practical alternatives. We assisted with space planning and layouts, looked over the electrical, lighting and plumbing plans, advised on door styles, hardware, architrave and skirting finishes, colour schemes, designs for bespoke joinery, kitchen and bathroom plans and sourcing and procurement of fittings, furniture, fabrics, soft furnishings, window treatments and decorative lighting.

We aim to offer solutions and provide options and are happy to be involved from the concept stage, working with architects and contractors, preparing mood boards and 3D digital drawings or renders as required by our clients."
