Neptune is a leading luxury interiors and lifestyle brand, founded in 1996 by friends John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman and recognised for its exacting standards, expert craftsmanship and signature style rooted in British heritage.
They set out with a different perspective; their aim was to design comfortable, liveable pieces for the home, crafted from the very best materials and engineered to last for 100 years or more. That ethos of challenging convention and looking at things differently remains today. Neptune’s meticulous attention to detail means that every element of a design – from the joints to the hinges – ensures a balance of comfort, support and longevity.
Their very first design, created back in 1996, was a hammock handmade around a kitchen table by co-founders John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman. They sold over 5,000 hammocks in the first year. The Neptune collection now comprises over 1,500 products – a full lifestyle offering for the home that includes kitchens, furniture, lighting, home accessories and an edited paint collection. All Neptune kitchens are made from the finest quality timber using expert joinery, while their bespoke service can create a kitchen to suit any space.
Neptune has 27 stores in the UK and five more in Europe, as well as partner stores and a highly efficient e-commerce site.
"Neptune products are inspired by heritage and tradition, yet they also harness the latest advances in engineering and technology. Every piece is designed to sit comfortably within a contemporary or traditional home without subscribing to trends. Antique furniture is a natural inspiration; Neptune wants their furniture to last for 100 years, and antiques have already done just that. Their style is also rooted in nature – from reflecting the beautiful patterns of natural light and shade in their lighting designs to relying upon the reassuring strength of solid oak in their timber furniture."

"For Neptune, one of the greatest joys of interior design is that no two homes are ever the same, and colour presents a never-ending opportunity for creativity. To help unlock these personal stories, Neptune has launched its new Colour Consultancy Service, which makes interior decorating a little less overwhelming by providing customers with a custom Neptune paint palette tailored to their home and vision.
You can book your consultation online, in-store or over the phone. The one-hour consultation costs £200 and covers four rooms of the home – if you wish to include more rooms, there’s a charge of £50 per hour thereafter. The expert colour consultant will consider the architecture and lighting of a home, as well as the customer’s own vision when making their recommendations. At the end, the customer receives a detailed colour plan for their home, including a technical sheet to pass onto decorators.
Most recently, Neptune launched their trade programme. Neptune Trade offers design professionals an exclusive discount on their home and garden collections both online and in-store. Members can also access their design services at a discounted rate. Other Neptune Trade benefits include the expert guidance of their home designers and specialists, previews of new collections, and marketing and promotional opportunities."
The List features design professionals, searchable by area, name and specialism. Membership starts at £450 per year, including a subscription to House & Garden (UK only)
