About Us

Brought up in a family rug business (Est. 1981) in the UK before working in Houston, New England and New York between 1994 and 2002. I am a lover of all types of rugs, in particular classic handmade Persian pieces. My ethos is to provide old fashioned service and excellent value combined with over three decades of expertise working with discerning private clients, interior designers, architects and developers. I source from all over the UK, as well as Germany and the USA, to find that perfect piece. If it doesn’t exist my weavers in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India will make it for you at surprisingly low cost. My service is exemplary and I provide after sales advice and services, such as underlays and spot cleaners. Professional cleaning and restoration is also offered.

I was asked to furnish a newly renovated country house in Yorkshire, so after visiting the client to discuss their requirements I returned with at least five focussed options for each space. These included rugs below, at and slightly above the stated budget. The rugs included fine Persian ‘Tabriz’, vegetable dyed Afghan ‘Farhan’, flat-weave Kilims and French Aubusson style ‘tapestry weave’, as well as a wonderful striped modern rug, made in Afghanistan from spare yarns left over from weaving traditional rug styles, for the snug. The house had been re-done to a very high standard, so the final floor furnishings demanded to be the very best within a tight budget, as well as being practical for their children, dogs and many house guests.
