"The creation of The Long Room at the offices of Guy Goodfellow Ltd on Langton Street, Chelsea. A showroom space intended for client meetings, events and dinners to demonstrate the dexterity of the company’s design ability. Two first-floor Drawing Rooms were combined to form one lateral space. Bold architectural detailing with tall doorways and openings creates a space more impressive than the sum of its parts. The walls are finished with painted hessian as a contrast to the gilded architraves, and form a backdrop to the changing art collection. The curtains are a subtle combination of three shades of Roussillion, from Guy's own collection. The Long Room has become a canvas for the reinvention of Guy's interior style with the passage of time."
