Christina Fallah’s mantra, ‘enter each project with an open mind’. Appraise the architectural envelope and particular detailing of each space within the remit of the brief, engage with my client to fully understand their ‘Big Ideas’, and guide them to a completion, above and beyond their wildest dreams. “In some of the showcased images, I encountered my most challenging client to date, myself”. The brief, to create a seamless journey through the various living areas, retaining the individual character of each space, particularly the fine Edwardian proportions and detailing. Rather than concealing the window architraves beneath voluminous fabrics, paint and bold colour options have allowed them to breathe, and accentuate height and light. Christina is skilled in working sympathetically with existing objects whilst introducing accents with colour, shape and light. In order to build a relationship between client and designer, the designer must “practice what they preach”, then trust is established and a dialogue begins.
