About Us

'Logic is our guiding method, but wonder is our muse.' Kathleen’s keen attention to detail helps her achieve inspired and inviting interiors that please and excite. Although her work strikes harmonious balance between form and function, she always brings an element of the unexpected to a space, and delights viewers with her ability to achieve beauty through subtle placement of diverse but complementary objects. In a seamless blend of old and new, her projects combine architectural finishes and furnishings that nod to the past while looking to the future. Hay views interior design with the awareness of an alchemist: mixing, blending, and transforming to achieve something truly original.

"We are very excited to share the work we recently completed for the popular Charleston eatery 167 Raw, which opened the doors on its new space in the heart of the city’s downtown earlier this year. We designed an interior for this Southern favorite that honors the historic details of the space – repurposed millwork, original heart pine flooring, and exposed brick–incorporating and mingling salvaged elements like beadboard and tin ceiling panels with contemporary elements. The location – three times the size of the original space on East Bay Street – shares the same popularity with its sister spot: a nightly wait list and line of eager patrons awaiting a spot at the coveted bar. The vibe is decidedly Mediterranean with a relaxed aura that invites one to stay a while."
