About Us

Victoria Covell Interiors approaches every project with openness, curiosity and attention to detail. We look at the space in question, explore who our clients are, and how they want to live in that space. This approach, combined with Victoria’s love of bespoke design, means no project is the same and the studio always looks to create something out of the ordinary.

Victoria’s background in contemporary art led her towards a career in Interior design.  She studied at KLC, working for brands like House of Hackney and Soane Britain before launching her studio in 2018.

Victoria Covell Interiors is based in Lincolnshire, working in the Midlands, London and occasionally abroad. Most of our projects are private residential in nature, but we are always open to commercial projects too.

How would you describe your style?

"We don’t have a strict house style, but rather a house approach… For Creative Director Victoria Covell, interior design is about the client and the feeling you want to evoke in a space. We are always sensitive to the architecture of each space we design.

If we had to choose a particular style, ‘minimal maximalism’ would be a good way to describe it; we don’t shy away from colour and pattern, and we like to mix old and new, but our approach to creating schemes is curated and considered."

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"We recently had the pleasure of renovating a bijou apartment in the heart of Islington. We took the project from conception to completion, project managing the installation. Our client Amy asked us to create a scheme which felt calm but evoked the feeling of ‘relaxed fun’ as she described it.

We designed a new open-plan kitchen-living area, bedroom and bathroom. Clever spatial planning was required to squeeze everything needed into this tiny flat without it feeling overcrowded. We designed bespoke hidden desks, and multi-use furniture, including a bespoke banquette which can be turned into a single bed when required.

We spent a great deal of time understanding Amy’s taste and lifestyle to create a home that reflected her personality. Every element was unique to this project, from lighting to bespoke window treatments and upholstery, to one-of-a-kind artwork sourced from our favourite gallerists.

A completely different project we recently completed was an amazing 3 bed penthouse duplex apartment, with Castle and Cathedral views from a rooftop terrace, located within the Grade II Listed, award-winning Bailgate Court Development in Lincoln.

Our clients John and Catherine had competing tastes; John loves all things minimal, while Catherine is a true maximalist. However, both love colour, which allowed us to have some fun playing with bold fabrics and artwork. One of our favourite rooms to date, a hexagonal tower, which they refer to as the Gin & Tonic room also sits within this beautiful property."
