About Us

Shalini Misra Ltd is a multi-award-winning interior design studio based in London, specialising in luxury interiors for residential developments. Founded in 1996 by visionary property developer and interior designer Shalini Misra, it has developed a diverse portfolio of exceptional projects from across the globe. The team's ability to work closely with their clients, incorporating their needs while creating characterful, functional and timeless interiors, has fostered a loyal clientele.

Their technical and creative range incorporates prime residential homes and developments, high-end offices, boutique hotels, restaurants and exhibition spaces. No matter the scale of the project, the team craft an entirely distinct concept and design narrative for each one, uniquely aligned with the clients’ vision to ensure that no project is ever the same.

Taking a holistic approach, Shalini Misra's design philosophy is centered on the fusion of old with new, layering lighting, textures and pattern, while playing with volume. Shalini and her team believe that good design should have a responsibility to the world it inhabits, choosing reclaimed wood, eco-friendly paint and antique and vintage pieces where possible. Art plays a central role in our interiors. Working with leading artists and galleries from across the world, they source and curate art collections, creating spaces imbued with individuality and creativity.

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"Our recently completed projects include a three-bedroom bachelor pad in Los Angeles, a large residential landmark building in New York, a family home in Los Altos and a penthouse office In Dover Street, Mayfair, alongside a Belgravia office space, and three family homes in west London.

Each of the above projects had very different design briefs, but one of my favourites is the home in St Johns Wood; we sourced the best of British craftsmen to create guilding, cabinets and accessories. We worked with the client's existing collection to find inspiration, with a particular focus on bold colour palettes."
