Rebecca Barnes Designs, established in 2016 by our visionary director, Rebecca, embodies a timeless design philosophy rooted in classical aesthetics. Our company's core ethos revolves around preserving the essence and history of each client's property, deeply understanding its unique narrative and the land it occupies. We aim to ensure that every design we craft seamlessly integrates with the property's historical context while aligning with the client's lifestyle and long-term aspirations.
With an impressive three decades of experience running her own interior design firm, Rebecca seamlessly relocated her business from the bustling streets of London to the picturesque landscapes of Hampshire. Driven by a flourishing clientele and a deep connection to her home in Hampshire, Rebecca’s specialisation lies in crafting exquisite interiors for country houses, a natural fit for our locality. We take pride in our ability to create bespoke joinery, kitchens, and bathrooms that transform spaces into breathtaking, historically-sensitive environments.
Nestled in the picturesque Southdowns, our converted barn showroom serves as the perfect backdrop for a unique and immersive design experience. Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, clients can explore our extensive library of fabric sample books. This curated collection not only showcases the quality and diversity of our materials but also allows clients to envision their projects with hands-on access to a plethora of textures, colours, and patterns.
Our commitment goes beyond aesthetics. At Rebecca Barnes Designs, we prioritize building strong relationships with our clients. By truly understanding their aspirations and desires, we collaboratively bring their vision to life, turning their dream of a stylish and harmonious home into a reality.

"Our recently completed two-year project along the Thames River presented extraordinary challenges and yielded remarkable rewards. Accessible only by boat, logistics were a demanding yet exhilarating feat. Despite hurdles like asbestos in the foundations and a waterlogged pool, the resulting home is truly magnificent.
Inside, major transformations reconfigured the residence. We relocated staircases, merged rooms, and modified windows, chimneys, and doorways. Bespoke joinery was imperative due to the unconventional house shape, and the original beams were uncovered after removing the ceiling in the upstairs landing.
To enhance the exterior, we added a stunning pavilion with a sedum roof and an outdoor kitchen. Overcoming these obstacles paved the way for our envisioned interior design scheme. The client desired a classical, elegant space infused with their love for comics and science fiction. This influence is evident throughout, from the Batman-themed cloakroom to the Terminator-inspired pinball machine, which guided the study's colour palette.
Nautical touches, such as a rope bed frame in one of the bedrooms, were introduced to evoke a coastal atmosphere. Water elements were infused using hand-blown glass for wall lights and chandeliers.
The result is a stunning transformation—a meticulously restored historic residence exquisitely designed to offer our clients a luxurious, timeless haven."
