"Starting from scratch, the client wanted to create a home with the feeling of having evolved organically over time, rather than seeming overly ‘designed’. They wanted to create a family home which did justice to the beautiful Georgian architecture of the building, while at the same time wanting the decorative scheme to feel as though it belonged to today. They wanted the house to be comfortable and user-friendly for their young family, but also an elegant and inspiring space that they would feel excited to share with friends. We took time to properly understand how the family live and their individual needs, as well as getting to know them, their interests and their personal style. 

In response, we re-organised the way the family used the different parts of the house, so that it better suited their lifestyle. In addition to our proposals for all the decorative elements – which included finishes, fabrics, joinery, bathrooms, lighting and garden design – we worked collaboratively with the client to build a collection of furniture, art and decorative items with interesting stories relevant to their family. The eclectic layering of antique, modern and bespoke pieces resulted in a warm and elegant home, which is rich in atmosphere and feels wholeheartedly connected to the building and the family who live in it."
