Established in 1992, in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, Jane Duncan Architects + Interiors is a design practice that specialises in high-end residential design and works on projects in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Greater London.
In March 2020, after more than 20 years with the practice, Julie Parkinson & Jonathan Dale took over Jane Duncan Interiors and Jane Duncan Architects respectively, and have been driving forward a new vision for the company.
At Jane Duncan Interiors, the team loves working in close collaboration with their clients, this enables them to truly get to know their personalities and lifestyles, which are both key to creating a great design. They believe that beautiful interiors can also be practical ones so that their clients not only have a home that they love but one that works for them in their day-to-day lives.
Over the years, the team have enjoyed working on a variety of projects from small extensions to full house refurbishments as well as complete new builds. They have worked on traditional properties, as well as modern ones, and have even carefully combined both styles whilst respecting the character and history of the property.
"Our projects vary from traditional to modern and anything in between. Each project is completely bespoke and, rather than having an in-house style or following the latest trends, we believe that it is much more important to create a scheme that reflects the client’s personality and the character of the property."
“The interiors team either work alongside the in-house architects on their projects, can collaborate with other architectural firms or, if a scheme requires minimal architectural input, are able to look after it in-house from start to finish; this includes gaining planning permissions and providing construction drawings to be implemented on-site.”
Our designers come from a variety of backgrounds, so bring a wide set of skills and knowledge to the table, this means that they are able to design all elements of our projects in-house; from kitchen & bathroom designs to full architectural lighting schemes as well as any bespoke joinery.
We have formed close working relationships with some great suppliers and local craftsmen which means that we are able to source everything for our clients at the best price possible. We are all too aware of how challenging refurbishing a home can be, so we also offer a project management service to ensure that our clients have a stress-free experience."
