Scottish textile designer Wendy Morrison is the founder of her eponymous brand Wendy Morrison Design known for creating extraordinary rugs, wonder walls and fabulous fabrics full of texture, patterns, and colours. With an outward-looking approach and curious nature, Wendy takes inspiration from an eclectic range of sources - chinoiserie, art history and colour, in particular the way colour can evoke feelings and emotions as well as nature and its connections to life and the wider world.

Authentic rug-making demands incredible skill, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Wendy Morrison wants to protect those skills, to support the artisans who tuft and weave, and bring the designs to life, to share the history and storytelling behind rug design, and to celebrate and help maintain this highly skilled craftsmanship.

Wendy Morrison celebrates the craftsmanship of rug making through her collection of handmade rugs sharing stories that resonate and connect, inspire and delight. These are also made into highly-detailed and elegant wallcoverings and fabric which bring colour, pattern, inspiration and joy to the home. Wendy’s voluptuous rugs and hand-embroidered wall hangings are modern-day heirloom that tells its own story, designed to last a lifetime and more and can be passed on from one generation to the next, binding together Wendy’s beliefs of sustainability, emotional design and longevity.

Whilst their studio is based in Edinburgh, 2023 marked the start of an exciting time for the brand, with the opening of their first London showroom at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. On show is an eclectic and exciting mix of the brand’s favourite designs across their range of products.
