About Us

studio.skey is a boutique interior design studio founded by Sophie Scott and Georgina Key, specialising in both contemporary and classic interiors for private residences and unique commercial spaces. The studio offers a full interior design service working across projects from initial concept to completion, both in the UK and internationally. This includes spatial planning and interior architecture consultation, material and FF&E specification, procurement and styling. The studio provides fully bespoke bathroom and kitchen designs as well as custom joinery and bespoke furniture solutions, either individually or as part of a tender package for a complete home redesign.

Their design services can be adapted to suit a wide range of projects from full-scale renovations, involving structural work and extensions, to simpler furnishing and styling solutions for private homeowners or show homes. Regardless of scale, the team also offers project management services to oversee the smooth running and completion of projects. Their objective is to create spaces with a harmonious union of function and aesthetic, with the client's brief always firmly at the heart of the design process. They bring value to a project by sourcing the highest quality products within the client's budget to elevate each design to its best potential.

How would you describe your style?

"We take a contemporary approach to create pared-back, timeless interiors which we ensure always remain sympathetic to the heritage of each individual property. Favouring warm neutral and tonal schemes with rich textures and natural materials, we create balanced environments unique to our clients’ needs, enabling them to live comfortably amidst considered, beautiful designs. Our studio has a strong emphasis on interior architecture and reconfiguration of spaces. We feel it's important to address the structural bones first to create internal points of interest and to improve natural light and flow to make the same square footage work harder for our clients. We always look to maximise the potential of the space that they have whilst respecting the origins of the building. This focus extends to the exterior and gardens of the properties we work on to ensure the most aesthetically cohesive result. When furnishing a space we combine pieces from established and emerging designers with those from artisan makers as well as antiques and completely bespoke pieces, designed by us in-house. This mix creates refined interiors that are characterful and warm, even when more minimalist in style."
