About Us

Sophie Harpley is an artist and designer whose hand-painted patterns decorate an original collection of British-made homeware. Inspired by modernist art and botanical forms, her relaxed aesthetic brings painterly charm and character into the home. With her own love of colourful, layered interiors, full of art and antiques, Sophie wanted to make a collection that contributes to this storied feeling in a space. In all that she makes, Sophie collaborates closely with British manufacturers to minimise environmental impact and support traditional industry. The result is furnishings that bring warmth, depth and the joy of pattern to their environment.

How would you describe your style?

"My work is known for a free, painterly style that brings an artistic touch to timeless motifs. My patterns often evoke historic prints and florals, bridging the balance of old and new. Using natural materials like linen, calico and soft matt papers, together with a rich palette of colours, brings a sense of character and craft to my designs"

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"I can create bespoke hand-painted patterns for your project or recreate new colourways from the prints in my collection. Favourite collaborations have included cushions provided for Alitex’s winning stand at Chelsea Flower Show; work stocked at The Royal Academy of Arts and a bespoke Iris print for Peruvian cotton. We are about to launch something fun with Domenica Marland too."
