About Us
Quote & Curate is the studio and gallery of artist and RCA curator Angela Murray. Located at the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, Quote & Curate is the Harbour's first gallery and Angela is its first Artist In Residence.
Angela has worked within Interiors for many years, creating art for projects and private client collections alike. The work she produces in the studio is influenced by landscape, seascape, still life and interiors, however, influence is derived from client and designer briefs, as she also works to commission.
As both artist and curator, the gallery at Quote & Curate is filled with a broad portfolio of paintings. Works range from small watercolours to large-scale paintings on linen with a palette that reflects Angela’s interest in colour as a tool to impact interiors, creating spaces that are contemplative or dynamic. Painting directly onto linen and using many gilding techniques, Angela creates work that is enigmatic and elegant, referencing the painterly manner of her formal training as an artist.

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer
"Working with Interior Designers or clients directly is the most inspirational journey. Having the privilege of producing work for a specific scheme or project is thoroughly rewarding and the process often starts with a conversation about subject matter and colour.
I will generally make a site visit to the location or studio to gather details for scale, palette and finish as well as more developed conversations around framing.
Framing is an integral part of the finished painting and exquisite framing is like a piece of furniture protecting and elevating the artwork. Framing options would be discussed and agreed upon both at the outset and also nearing completion to ensure both interior and artwork sit in harmony and synergy with each other.
Once the piece has been agreed upon and the painting completed, Quote & Curate offers a full white glove install service. The Designer and/or client will also benefit from a curation of an existing collection should that be required."
