Orla Read Design Studio's projects give the sense that they have evolved organically and feel effortlessly connected to their users, purpose and location. Orla is involved in each project and enjoys working closely with clients to see designs through from concept to completion. The team has built up invaluable relationships with specialists, suppliers and craftspeople.

"We recently completed a fabulous house in Barnes for a wonderful family with very different (and specific) needs and desires. Each room tells a story; that reflects that of the individual and others for everyone to enjoy each in their own way. The highly functional rooms such as the kitchen and family room have neutral bones with playful touches. We used colourful fabrics and vintage furniture to add character to these spaces. In contrast, a more transient, less used room such as the library is painted a wild peacock gloss, floor to ceiling, filled with books and artefacts. We designed bespoke joinery throughout as well furniture and window treatments, working with the client from concept through to completion."
