"When we bought our railway cottage in West London, it had a sound structure and a pretty façade, but inside, it was devoid of any original charm. We brought character to the ground floor living space with floor-to-ceiling shelving and panelling. We then softened it with a mix of textiles, bespoke furniture and antiques sourced from various markets trawls in Europe (which I also sell through my online store). We combined DeVOL shaker units in the kitchen with freestanding vintage pieces and thick wool curtains. There’s something immensely cosy about curtains in kitchens. Upstairs, the bathroom had a full redesign with tongue and groove panelling added and painted a moody blue green. As the bedrooms were so small, we decided to have fun with them, using playful colours and patterns."
