How would you describe your style?

"We create timeless, characterful interiors by blending traditional English interior design with unexpected contemporary elements. Depending on the building’s period, we like to honour the ‘bones’ of the building by maintaining or restoring details such as cornicing and fireplaces. These often give the foundations for building character and warmth, to then enable us to all layers with antique, vintage and contemporary furniture, art and rich fabrics to create an inviting and lived-in aesthetic that is tailored to the client."

"We recently completed our largest project to date with a lovely family to bring their dream 7-bedroom country estate in Berkshire to life. Starting out as a rather simple new build country house with a couple of outbuildings, we added character and fun to prevent it from feeling like a typical sterile new build. We fully re-specified the development about 6 months prior to completion and worked alongside the developer and original contractor to complete to a higher spec.

The client brief was unusual – comprising of ‘themed’ bedrooms ranging from Moroccan to Art Deco. We utilised carefully curated unique Italian marbles and tiles handmade in Morocco, with bespoke metal vanities and custom bathroom fixtures to create hotel-level bedroom suites, whilst including much more functional spaces such as a shaker style boot room and laundry with features such as laundry chute and dog shower, a bespoke climate-controlled wine cellar and world-class private cinema.

All the foundations of the home were carefully considered from lighting design and AV to socket locations, alongside hard surfaces, cornice and all other details to ensure the home felt fully thought-through; whilst working seamlessly for its owners as well as being a beautiful, effortless space in its own right. This level of detail extended across the five out-buildings which housed staff accommodation and spa facilities.

As the project progressed, we were on-site to manage the project and ensure everything was delivered on time and to a high standard, including the installation of furniture, curtains and everything down to the cutlery – the end result was a gorgeous, timeless mock-Georgian new build that you would never know hasn’t been there for the last 200 years and perfectly reflected our client’s taste and needs. The client was over the moon with the result and we’re already working on another home for them."
