About Us

Bergman & Mar is a multidisciplinary interior design studio based in London and working on residential and commercial projects in Britain and Abroad.

Bergman & Mar’s vision is informed by staging and storytelling. Our immersive approach to sculpting interiors cohesively connects all aspects of the interiors. Warm palettes, organic shapes and unexpected textual pairings elicit experiential outcomes with timeless impact. Our core belief is that good interior design should be aesthetic, functional and happily saved for the next generations.

We invest significant time in uncovering talented, established and emerging artists, artisans & craftsmen from Great Britain, Europe and further afield to provide unique, authentic and sustainable designs

What services do you provide?

Bergman and Mar specialise in both private residential and commercial Interior Design. We invest significant time uncovering talented established and emerging designers, artists, artisans, and craftsmen to create a bespoke look and feel for every client.

How would you describe your style?

"Each space that we design is carefully crafted around the client's needs and our magic touch. The studio has a fondness for dark deep hues, pops of pattern, and vintage and bespoke pieces. We believe that the small details frame a home; therefore, we go the extra mile to source the perfect styling items for each space. These items are sourced from a great variety of individual artisans, markets and local stores to provide a curated feel to the space."

"Commissioned to work on a luxury showroom apartment next to Tate Modern, our aim for the interior design was to create a luxurious city home that is comfortable yet unique while including the Southbank's rich cultural history and vibrant life. We paid close attention to incorporating different tactile materials, soft shapes and warmer colour hues. We wanted the apartment to portray a feeling of uniqueness by using contemporary furniture made by British and international artisans and mixing contemporary and vintage-styled pieces. The idea was to create heirlooms that could be passed down to future generations.

We also recently worked on a Penthouse located in Fitzrovia

The interior was informed by the notable past, and present of the residents. The space has a progressive culture in touch with true values of life and desires for a better society. From Charles Dickins and Chippendale, the interiors draw inspiration from the Victorian era, its revival of style and eclecticism mixed with the middle east and Asian influences. The era was known for dark jewel tones and dark hues, such as deep reds, blues, and greens layered with mahogany, walnut and gold. The interior has over 40 different makers, manufacturers, artisans and artists from the united kingdom and represents over ten different countries.”
