"202 design recently installed a bespoke kitchen and banquette seating at a property in southwest London, working with designers Salvesen Graham and architects Flower Michelin. Developed with the homeowner and the design team, the brief was to create a practical yet refined kitchen and dining space in this substantial family home. There was particular emphasis on producing a palette of materials and finishes to reflect the everyday demands of a working kitchen while remaining sensitive to the Victorian architectural features of the house. A specialist lacquered, hand-finished paint was applied to the traditional Shaker-style cabinetry, which 202 paired with natural Arabescato Verde marble. To complement the simplicity of the cabinetry, the design of the island worktop featured an unlacquered, solid brass shadow gap detail, plus cabinetry handles in a matching, polished brass finish. As the clients are both keen cooks, the 202 design team paid careful consideration to appliances, specifying a Wolf range cooker, Sub Zero refrigeration and a Waterworks Regulator tap."
