In 2012 Angella established her exclusive design studio based on her steadfast belief that undertaking a new home or renovation project is a significant emotional and financial investment that requires highly focused and personalised interior design support to achieve the best results in the most efficient way. "Angella assisted with the renovation of the ground and lower ground floors of a Grade II listed Victorian terrace house nestled in the heart of Chelsea. The property has the usual plan form of two rooms deep off a hallway and the owner’s aspiration was to fashion a space that fosters communal interaction and facilitates gatherings with friends and family. Respectfully observing the limitations of a listed building, Angella successfully fulfilled the brief by creating a double-width opening between the kitchen and dining room thus transforming the space and creating flexibility and flow between the dining room, kitchen and patio garden. With the strategic use of materials, she artfully blurred the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, enriching the experience.
Through meticulous and thoughtful planning Angella maximised the efficient use of space by discretely concealing utilities within the core of the building and behind bespoke joinery units which gave the client more usable floor space.
The elegant design was further enriched by bespoke joinery units designed by Angella to give greater functionality and visual impact to the home. These were skilfully executed by the artisans Angella has hand selected to work with. Stunning bespoke Brass doors provide a striking central feature from both the dining room and kitchen. They enable flexibility for intimate formal dining or alternatively create an open space and flow for large group entertaining which is cleverly enhanced with a flexible hidden kitchen design."
