About Us

As framers for Reading, London and the Thames Valley, we focus on delivering the very best of traditional hand finished frames to enhance your art works and spaces and the most modern conservation framing techniques to ensure they endure. We look to serve the art and design enthusiasts in Caversham, Reading, and the surrounding area, and we also do a van run into London once a week to service London Galleries.  Our team is a mixture of fine artists, experienced craft workers, restorers, and business people. We understand the needs of our customers ensuring that the best frames are always chosen and that the execution of the work is timely and of exceptional quality. The business has been established for over 30 years and is now family led by Alex Foster.

"Recent projects exemplifying our service include hand gessoed, hand painted frames for a 5*boutique hotel refurbishment, framing a very large 2.4m x1.8m photographic artwork, framing an Indian carpet to hang on a wall, making a 7ft x 6ft bespoke mirror to a client's specification, a handpainted frame for a canvas by Lamorna Birch R.A., and hand painted frames in Farrrow and Ball colours for an exhibition of artworks by professional artist Cat Croxford. Handmade, hand finished, bespoke frames are our speciality to which we bring the traditional skills; gessoing, gilding, staining and painting, to deliver unique frames for any location or application. Factory mouldings are used where appropriate to meet the client's needs. Conservation and presentation are always in our thoughts, and we use a conservation approach with acid free mounts and specialty glass to care for and present artworks at their best. We also love antique and period frames and restore and re-gild them as required. We collect and deliver in London and the Thames Valley by arrangement."
