About Us

An eye for detail is key at Gayle Warwick Fine Linen, from the pencil drawings that start the design process, to the weaving of its organic cotton, and the hand embroidery of colour, shape and texture into its fabrics.

Established in 1998, Gayle was inspired by a trip to Vietnam and seeing the exquisite craftsmanship of a hand-embroidered table cloth. That first step, which resulted in a small collection of original designs for bed and table linen, has now expanded to include handwoven cashmere, hand block printed bed and table linen and an exclusive collection of organic cotton and yarn-dyed linens.

How would you describe your style?

"Our style is driven by the pleasure of designing something new, so our aesthetic is quite varied. Our first goal is to make it beautiful and to marry the design with hand craftsmanship. The inspiration could a delicate piece of ancient glass at the Victoria and Albert Museum or the architecture and vibrant colours of Jaipur."

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"Developing a relationship with craftsman has been an essential part of what we do. Our family business has grown to include a global network of artisans which allows us to offer a very individual design service. Our craftsmen and woman know us: we know them, and this collaborative spirit enables us to push the boundaries of our craft and offer a unique custom approach to design and the products we produce. Whether it is adapting one of our existing designs by choosing your own palette from our selection of over 500 threads or commissioning a special floral design to complement your china pattern for a bespoke, made to measure tablecloth, there are endless possibilities.

We have been fortunate to work on some of the most creative custom design projects worldwide for both interior designers and private clients. Designers including Francis Sultana, Nicky Haslam, Todhunter Earle, Beata Heuman and Studio QD in the UK and Peter Marino and Tony Ingrao and in New York."
