Neil McLachlan directs his acclaimed design studio from offices in London and Auckland. Born and raised in New Zealand, he has extensive international experience as an interior designer. As the son of an architect, he has also studied the field but concentrates on interior transformations – often structural ones as well as decorative. Neil’s design commissions have included hotels, luxury lodges, offices and even a motorcycle museum in the commercial sector, as well as numerous permanent and holiday homes for private clients, both large and small. Projects have been completed in the UK, France, USA, Australia and of course many in New Zealand. His London studio opened in 2019 and his main residence is now the UK.
"Neil’s style is rich and layered, and he pays huge attention to detail, regardless of the look or theme. Every surface material and colour, texture and proportion is carefully considered to achieve a perfect balance. His design approach is anything but prescriptive. It is holistic and acutely responsive to his clients’ needs, wherever they may be and whatever the scope of the project."

"We regularly fit out interiors where we specify and supply all furnishing items and the client arrives to a finished environment. A recent project of this nature was an apartment in the Gasholders complex in Kings Cross where the client brought only six boxes of books and we supplied everything else down to the utensils, crockery and towels!"
