Established in 1989, Catellani & Smith reflects the artistic personality of its founder, Enzo Catellani, carrying out, for more than thirty years, work that is in continuous evolution, halfway between art and craft. Enzo Catellani’s lighting creations are objects with a soul, which reveal the importance and unique qualities of a product made ‘by hand’.
The distinctive and personal approach to design, together with advanced research in the field of technology, make Catellani & Smith a leading company in the lighting sector.
Catellani & Smith lights illuminate Casa Battló in Barcelona, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and are part of the Triennale Milano collection.
The company was established in an old restored mill, just a few kilometres from Bergamo, in Lombardy/Italy. Over the years, two manufacturing departments were opened along the Serio River and in an industrial area; in 2018 the operational headquarters were moved closer to the production facilities, in a new building in which design, lighting and nature merge to create a pleasant work environment, in line with the company’s core values.
