"We work at all scales and have most recently worked with two very different estates to create a masterplan vision for the next twenty to one hundred years, including developing the historic farmsteads for growing families and regenerating the surrounding farmland for healthy water, soil and food. The philosophy of the practice is to combine a deep respect for the natural world with a hands-on, practical approach to achieving results. We often work with listed buildings and in sensitive locations, and are happy to liaise with English Heritage, Natural England, planning authorities and other stakeholders. These landscapes reflect the rich history of the people and the place, and we seek to forge a continuum between the past, the present, and the future. Our designs work with the underlying topography and biology of the land to create biodiversity and extend habitats, and our planting plans are informed by naturally occurring plant families of the local area. We work with  ecologists and local craftsmanship who have a respect for the land of an age gone by. Using sensitive space planning, natural materials and careful construction detailing, we focus on both doing and listening, bringing out the best of each client and each site’s unique essence."
