About Us

Having trained at KLC, Clare Gaskin Interiors was founded in 2009 and subsequently, Clare and her team have worked on some fantastic properties in London and occasionally further afield. Their desire is to respond to ‘who’ their clients are, ‘how’ they live their lives, and ‘what’ the space is. Rather than having a single design aesthetic, they enjoy tailoring decorative schemes to ensure that the end result is a reflection of their clients’ taste, personality, needs, lifestyle and often aspirations.

Interior Design

How would you describe your style?

'Like ghostwriting an autobiography, we think interior design should tell your story, not ours. Subtle, obvious or somewhere in between, I believe it is essential your home reflects you. My influences are taken from the people who will be living in the space, coupled with the characteristics and requirements of the building, and while it is important to have an awareness of trends, I want your home to have more longevity than what’s in fashion."

"Our brief was to refurbish and transform this extensive 10,000 square foot residential property with a radically altered open floor plan and FF&E throughout. The project involved a complete reconfiguration and extension into what has become a thoroughly modern country house with a clean, lined contemporary look. The challenge was to make sense of this vast space while maintaining a family-friendly environment suitable for entertaining and contemporary living. To do this, we developed a scheme of luxurious textures, bespoke joinery and varied colours, including bright splashes in the living room and study to contrast with more subtle and elegant tones in the formal lounge and dining area. For the children’s entertainment zone, we maximised the square footage of the basement to create a state of the art media and games room with 3D suede wall coverings to improve the acoustics. Aside from the design aesthetic, storage was also a key part of the brief, with the provision of clever bespoke storage solutions to discretely store a trove of possessions throughout the house."
