About Us

Caroline Paterson Interiors was founded in 1987, since then it has grown to become a successful interior design studio working on projects in the UK and abroad. Known for its eclectic and sophisticated interiors and an emphasis on architectural detailing, the studio has mastered both traditional and modern interiors. With 35 years of experience behind them, the helm of the company has been taken over by Josh Stone and Phoebe Hollond (ex Beata Heuman). Josh has worked with Caroline for 9 years, leading residential and commercial projects around the world. The two of them combined will be refreshing the company under a new name - Stone Hollond.

How would you describe your style?

"My style can best be described as eclectic and versatile, with the foundation of my inspiration based predominantly on architecture, about which I care deeply. I enjoy the contrast of working on contemporary interior design projects as much as traditional and whilst at Colefax & Fowler I spent many years working on corporate projects."

"The brief for this small duplex Kensington apartment was it required serious modernising and minimising to create an airy space for seating and eating. The room had a traditional staircase which was replaced by a low iron glass panel with a perspex handrail. The original off centre fireplace surround was changed to a minimal opening. The centre section of the bookcase has a lift mechanism to reveal a TV within. The recess to the left of the fireplace was a wonderful discovery and great for creating the display of objects and giving an injection of colour to the room."
