About Us

Guild Anderson design and create luxury, bespoke kitchens and interiors.

We work with our clients to design truly individual cabinetry for the many rooms of a home. Each commission is entirely individual: there are no standard styles or sizes, offering complete flexibility on design and materials. From kitchens, laundries and boot-rooms; to dressing rooms, studies and home cinemas; we cater for smaller projects to more complex and substantial house renovations.

We have a tailored, end-to-end, service that starts with the architecture of the home, working to design and specify a kitchen or space; looking in detail at the layout, style, appliances, hardware and colours. We have total control of the production, installation and hand painting of all furniture in our own workshops by our own team of highly skilled craftsmen.

Designers & Cabinet Makers for Kitchens and Interiors

How would you describe your style?

With care and pride, we create beautifully designed and handmade, entirely bespoke, kitchens and cabinetry.

We treat every client and their homes individually and make to suit each house and client. We look at how you live in your own home, assess what your needs are, and with our own design sensibilities, we design cabinetry that truly belongs in each unique space.

Our knowledge of appliances, flooring, worktops, colour and finishes is extensive; we can guide you through this process and ultimately create your perfect space.

With a service that is collaborative and attentive and our flexible approach, skilled makers, and great facilities allow us to offer personal guidance through the whole process. It would be a cliché to say “every project is different” but that’s very much how we approach our work; every client has specific needs and a personal style that we look to express in everything we do.

"This stunning example of eighteenth-century Grade I Palladian architecture has been sympathetically renovated over the past two years, allowing it to work for a more modern family way of life.

Guild Anderson were commissioned to design and make the bespoke kitchen, pantry and bar. The aim was to furnish these rooms rather than make them feel that they were full of kitchen cabinets.

Such an important country house required a sensitive approach, using traditional design with classical detailing to enhance the architecture of the"building. The kitchen design required consideration, and appealed enormously to Nick Anderson’s preferred style, with his own personal influences derived from traditional boat building, the Shaker movement and Lutyens architecture. All of which follow the same principles of proportion, symmetry, and the correct use of the Classical orders.

The brief required the rooms to be furnished, which allowed Guild Anderson’s highly skilled designers and joinery team to create beautiful pieces of furniture that appear to be placed rather than fitted in place.

The china display cabinets sitting on either side of an external door are part of a panelled pantry space, cleverly designed to conceal the Miele Mastercool fridge and freezer and larders behind the panelling, leading your eye into the garden beyond. They frame the doorway with their tall elegant panelling and deep cornicing, paying respect to the neo-classical architecture of the building. The open shelving allows the design to feel airy and more refined like that of a traditional china cabinet.

A glazed pantry dresser uses the full height of the room, harking back to the days of a maid’s scullery, but now appropriated as a place to store fine glassware and indeed the place to mix that all-important gin & tonic!

The kitchen island is a completely free-standing table, with elegantly turned legs. It magically conceals an integrated Sub-Zero & Wolf warming drawer.  The top was carefully chosen from native elm and crafted from just two boards. Classical style and craft with the contemporary facility.

Nick and his team have designed a series of rooms that feel as if they have always been there. However, in doing so they have not lost the opportunity to incorporate every conceivable modern appliance required to run this kitchen efficiently. The use of these beautifully designed individual pieces of kitchen furniture have enhanced the lived-in aesthetic. They have given a homely, yet classic sense of style immediately to each of the spaces."
