About Us

Tor Saer, owner and founder of Westcot House, and her team offer exquisitely finished, bespoke handmade furnishings to clients in London, the home counties and beyond. Her studio also offers an Interior Design service.

Westcot House creates handmade furnishings including cushions, blinds, curtains, pelmets, beds, valances, headboards and upholstery. The company works closely with a team of experienced and talented makers and workshops in the UK. It’s these relationships that are key to producing excellent work time and again. Their designs are made using traditional methods from seamstresses who sew every stitch by hand to upholsterers, fitters and cabinet makers.

All are highly skilled in their area of expertise and place importance on attention to detail. The team takes great pride in being able to support the continuance of a tradition of craftsmanship.

Westcot House's complimentary Interior Design service means they can bring that same level of expertise and considered finish to the home as a whole.

"Our clients’ remits vary from requests for individual cushions to soft furnishings for whole-house projects to producing complete room redesigns focusing on fabric, colour, beautiful lighting and furniture.

Clients are invited to visit us by appointment at our showroom in Beaconsfield where they can browse our versatile range of fabric books, trims, curtains poles and wallpapers by a broad range of designers.

Finally, we were delighted to launch our online shop this year selling one-off-design cushions using some of our favourite fabrics and carefully UK-sourced vintage and antique furniture. These unique finds are lovingly restored and in many cases completely reupholstered to give them a new lease of life."
