Upton Noble founders Sophie and Viktoria have known each other for over 15 years. Having both worked for international luxury brands such as LVMH, Hermès, Andreas Murkudis, Paperlux Studio and Robert Kime, it was just a matter of time before their creative paths crossed again ... and voilà, Upton Noble was born. Their shared backgrounds in brand communication, printing, and interior and product design provide a perfect platform for designing wallpaper.
The head office is nestled in the Wiltshire countryside in the Nadder Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Upton Noble is surrounded by an abundance of creative and architectural gems such as Messum’s, Hauser & Wirth, Pythouse Kitchen & Garden, The Newt, Seraphina London and Domenica Marland and the Fonthill Estate to name a few. The ever-changing landscape of light and nature inspires Sophie and Viktoria’s designs. Sophie travels around the world and Viktoria often stays in London, but for both, Wiltshire is a sanctuary they return to.
Every design is originally hand drawn with watercolours. All wallpapers are printed on high-quality Belgian paper in England. All of the wallpapers are designed and sustainably made in the UK, celebrating British craftsmanship and minimising the company's carbon footprint. The ink which is used is water-based and has a zero discharge of hazardous chemicals and has a Greenguard Gold certification. It is PVC free, FSC certified, ROHS compliant and 95% recyclable. The ink is odourless and is proven not to produce any latex-related allergies. Packaging is recycled wherever it is possible.
In 2022, Upton Noble released their first collection of 13 wallpapers. More exquisite designs are being created.

Our style is influenced by our lifestyle. We like to mix contemporary with classic interiors. We collect things, may it be a vintage teacup or a flower we’ve pressed in a book. From these things that we adore, we draw inspiration and then get the paintbrush out."
"We recently helped to decorate a guest en suite and provided expertise on how much paper was needed, which style would work and explained a suitable environment for our wallpaper. Given the fact that our wallpapers are matt but wipeable really helped the client. The apartment has Georgian proportions and even though the design was contemporary it looked very elegant with the ceiling heights."
