How would you describe your style?

"The gallery has recently been described as a 'treasure trove of contemporary fine art. With pieces reflecting the local landscape to paintings that ooze nostalgia and fun, this emporium of creativity inspires you to dip into the art scene and swap bare walls and spaces for a sprucing of colour, depth and originality.' Our full programme of innovative, exciting exhibitions and events provides an excellent opportunity for our friends and clients to get together to meet the artists and enjoy seeing new work in a relaxed and informal environment."

The Brownston Gallery is renowned for sourcing highly original and exciting artworks from both established contemporary artists at the top of their game and rising stars making their mark in the dizzying world of art. We work closely with our clients to find the perfect artwork to enhance their home or office; whether it is a bold, striking abstract by Jerry Browning,  an atmospheric landscape by Julie Ellis or a fun, if slightly bonkers, seaside scene by Lowry-inspired Simeon Stafford, each collection is carefully curated to match the personality and style of our clients.

For more serious investment pieces we present works by highly collectable marine artist Anthony Amos (1950 -2010), and modern British artist Jean Jones (1927 -2012) whose work is held in public collections and is currently on display at The Box Museum, Plymouth.

We are very supportive of the arts in the South West and collaborate closely with The South West Academy and the Arts University Plymouth, inviting Academicians and students to exhibit with us, providing the latter, particularly with the valuable experience of showing their work in a commercial gallery setting.

We also work with interior designers and architects helping to source artwork for both corporate and private clients. Being situated so close to Salcombe and its neighbouring coastal villages, these bespoke projects are often for magnificent seaside properties, providing the perfect setting to showcase dramatic and strikingly original works of art.

At Brownston we love what we do and it always gives us great pleasure to bring fabulous art into the lives of our fabulous clients.
