About Us

Driven by a necessity to affordably curtain her new home following a move to rural Shropshire in 2016, Speronella Marsh set out to learn the skills required to hand block designs onto her precious collection of antique linens. The resulting curtains hanging around her home were admired by friends and family who began commissioning their own soft furnishings. From this initial flurry of interest, Speronella Marsh (formerly Hare’s Tail Printing) was born in 2018. Since then, Speronella Marsh fabrics have been commissioned by interior designers across the world and have been featured along with Speronella’s home in a number of the top UK interior magazines.

Speronella was raised in Rome before studying at Van der Kelen in Belgium, the only school in the world to teach the traditional techniques of decorative painting.  Moving to London in her early twenties her creative flair has taken her from working in interiors to the gardening world and back again.
