Murron Interiors create unique hideaways throughout Europe for nature-loving people who want to slow down and reconnect to their dreams. The team source, locate and build bespoke retreats and offer holistic design to create spaces aligned with the Nordic design principles of light, simplicity and soul.
“Nothing happens unless we first dream” says Maren Lundehn, principal designer and founder, who believes dreaming is crucial for a fulfilling life, but that it takes an inspiring environment. A space without visual and physical noise, a space to feel detached but connected at the same time. Finding and designing those spaces is Maren’s passion. Allied to her strong aesthetic sense, Maren Lundehn follows a thoroughly developed path throughout her projects.
“We believe that design is centred on people. That the best design works at an emotional level. Our process involves building relationships of authenticity, conviction and mutual understanding.
With Murron's 15-step-project coordination strategy, the client gets an honest and enjoyable experience. Trust is absolutely key in the relationship, and during the design journey, the Murron team love to stretch the client’s imagination. Professional delivered projects are all about balance between conceptual dreaming and efficient project coordination.
Maren is a graduate of The Interior Design School London and a member of the BIID. Her expertise and high profile is reflected in her recognition in the industry. Her work features in Enki magazine and The World’s Leading Design Names 2021, among other magazines. One of her recent projects has been shortlisted for The International Architecture and Design Award 2020. Her outlook is truly global and she worked on projects all over Europe.

"At Murron interiors, we offer Design Consultancy, Property and Location Search and a full interior design service. Whether you want a bespoke beachside house, a remote and tranquil cabin in the woods, or simply to transform a room in your home, our focus is on creating that unique space in which you can step away from the world, be still, and dream.
However you choose to work with us, we take a partnership approach. We work with empathy and care to discern your vision. Then we put the building blocks in place to make it reel. Great collaboration is very important for us and we help you to find a capable team of architects, builders and craftsmen.
For one of our latest projects the client, who was based in Germany at that time, approached our studio because he was longing for an affordable waterside hideaway in Scandinavia where he could pursue his passion as an angler.
After defining a strong brief we found a lakeside cabin in Kalmar, Sweden in absolute solitude. We created a concept design based on an individual mood board and after preparing a digital drawing package we managed to oversee the refurbishment remotely while being in a global pandemic. Our client is so grateful that we could deliver, especially in regards to budget, time frame and aesthetics. He already spent time there during the second lockdown and he now is fully able to relax, unwind and connect with nature there.
We aim to inspiring people to dream again and give them a space where they feel safe, detached and connected at the same time is very rewarding and meaningful for me as a designer.
Murron Interiors completed projects in the UK, Germany, Spain and Sweden and currently working on hideaways in Italy and Scotland."
