About Us

Joe Perkins Design is a multi-award-winning Garden and Landscape Design practice led by Chelsea Gold Medal winner Joe Perkins. Joe leads a team of Garden Designers and Landscape Architects from his studio in Hove, East Sussex

Projects range from large country gardens, estates and public spaces to inner-city courtyards and rooftop gardens. We work throughout the U.K., in London, in the home counties and internationally. We’re more than happy to go anywhere for the right project.

We will always look to gain a sense of the ‘spirit of the place’ and to use and improve on what exists already. We design for biodiversity and try to future-proof in respect of climate change. Sustainability is very important to us and is at the heart of all our designs and planting schemes.

What services do you provide?

Garden & Landscape Design

How would you describe your style?

"We don’t have a fixed style in the studio. Our style is dictated by the garden's location, the architecture and history that surrounds it and the client's brief. We’re equally comfortable designing a large country garden as we are a contemporary inner-city roof garden.

What all our projects have in common is to deliver to the client a garden that exceeds all their expectations."

"Joe has designed and built gardens for over 20 years. He is somewhat of a rarity in his profession as he is both qualified and experienced as a Landscape Architect, Garden Designer, Project Manager and Construction Manager, allowing him to have an overview of any project from multiple angles.

As a studio, we work in conjunction with Architects, Interior Designers, other design specialists and existing garden teams, so that every aspect of the project is finished to the highest standard and so the inside and outside of the property work in harmony. We believe that collaboration is the key to a successful scheme."
