About Us
Charlotte has created beautiful exterior spaces across London and the home counties, from roof terraces, courtyards and large town gardens to country landscapes. It is her attention to detail and hands-on approach that ensures each garden is a unique blend of her client's requirements and her creativity. She also appreciates that a wider creative team can lend much to the design process; while working directly for her clients, she regularly works with architects and interior designers.
While each garden will have a different look, the process of designing begins with understanding the wishes and requirements of her clients and progresses through to the analysis of the location, climate, existing fauna and flora, soil and wider landscape beyond. Charlotte is able to draw on her extensive knowledge of tree and plant nurseries, sculptors, paving suppliers, product and furniture designers, etc., from across Europe, personally sourcing for each project.
To ensure each design is brought to life, it is essential that the gardens are constructed, planted and lit by professional landscape contractors, using quality materials and craftsmanship. To preserve the integrity of the design and ensure the garden reaches its full potential over time, it is always recommended that it is maintained by gardening professionals.
Charlotte studied a post-graduate course in Garden and Landscape Design at The Inchbald School of Design, London, graduating with Distinction in 2000. She immediately went to work for the renowned, multi-award-winning London-based garden designer Luciano Guibbilei. Having gained invaluable experience working with Luciano, Charlotte set up on her own in 2002 and has created gardens for a wide range of fascinating and discerning clients ever since.

"The brief for this contemporary garden was to form a visual extension of the interior space while creating a generous area in which to relax, entertain or to hold business meetings. The use of the terrace is extended during wet weather with the unfurling of a very large bespoke sail awning.
The clean and detailed lines of the design are juxtaposed with mature multi-stem Amelanchier Lamarkii (Juneberry); these elegant trees provide year-round interest from pale green buds in Spring, followed by white flowers, and berries in Autumn and their stunning stems in Winter. They are all lit at night to add a little drama to the geometric and symmetrical design."
