About Us

Based in Richmond, Karen Oliver Design works on residential projects across south-west London and the surrounding area. Karen believes, first and foremost, that a house is a home, and that it should reflect the personality of the owners and complement their lifestyle. Her main inspiration is always “the client’s brief”, combined with her creative flair and passion for creating spaces that are both stylish and functional.  Karen brings a unique eye and varied experience to every project, and she is not afraid to mix classic with eclectic, vintage with contemporary. With an almost obsessive attention to detail and commitment to quality, Karen has been pursuing her passion for interiors over the last fifteen years after qualifying from the KLC School of Design in 2005 with a Diploma in Interior Design; she is now an Associate of the BIID.

How would you describe your style?

"'Stylish, contemporary, glamorous and sophisticated' are all words used to describe Karen’s interiors, but equally important to her are function, individuality and comfort."

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"We recently completed the full refurbishment of a large Victorian home: spatial planning and full interior design of the entire space including the concept and detailed plans for the kitchen, bathrooms, full lighting and electrical layouts including all finishes, bespoke joinery and furniture; followed by full project co-ordination, liaising with the site contractor, other design professionals and specialist trades and suppliers to ensure the final implementation of the design."
