At Porter we are inspired by respect. We respect the individuality of our clients by creating and curating a bathroom collection of exceptional breadth and choice. With a design language that is craft-led and restrained rather than ornate, we shape timeless pieces rather than following fashions. Each and every creation is dictated by the beauty and durability of the natural materials that inform the Porter Aesthetic. Our respect for natural materials means that we work only with highly skilled artisan stonemasons, cabinet makers and metalworkers, whose passion for perfection mirrors our own. Our commitment to consistency and quality leads us to source our unique range of stones directly from the quarries and our prized white Carrara marble solely from Italy’s mountainous North East. For our hardware, whether in chrome, nickel or brass, we achieve exceptional finishes by hand-working only the best grades of brass base material. We respect the natural world too so all of our fine oak and birch timbers come from sustainable forestry before being climatised in our workshop. At Porter we believe that discernment shouldn’t cost the earth. We maintain that good design needn’t stop at the bathroom door so we strive to create spaces of calm quietude that live up to the rest of your home.

Porter had the privilege to work on the conversion of St Paul’s, a 19th century Church on St John’s Hill, London into a sympathetic 21st century state of the art property. The project required luxury bathroom pieces that would work in harmony and sit sensitively within the original Gothic features of the building. Working closely with the designer to personalise the bathroom spaces into true sanctuaries for restful relaxation, the Stratford range was chosen for its unique stance, complementing the existing architectural details. A study in updated classicism, the Stratford is timeless, elegant and beautifully functional. This sensitive approach followed through to the material palette in earthy greys, polished Carrara marble and glimmers of brassware added a touch of indulgence.
